So Book

So this morning I got an email from Tor.com. I had almost forgotten that I signed up for their mailing list. They had induced me to do this by the simple yet forceful incentive of free books.

Yep, they send out free ebooks, and I got my first one today. Woohoo! It’s In the Midnight Hour, by Patti O’Shea. Tor is an imprint of Macmillan publishing which brings us fantasy and scifi books. Next up is Battlestar Galactica by Jeffrey Carver. If you don’t want to miss that, head on over to Tor.com and give away your email address.

They promise great things for the Tor.com website, which is not up and running yet. Their email proclaims Tor.com will be a “science fiction and fantasy site not quite like any you’ve seen before, mixing news, commentary, original stories and art, your own comments and conversations, and more.” If they are trying to inflame excitement and anticipation, I think it might be working. On me, at least.
